kiko is the app for wholesale lovers: a personal receipt-tracking and savings app for Costco members.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is stored, and your rights regarding your data.
kiko runs entirely on your iPhone.
No ads and no tracking. Your receipts, shopping list, notes, and usage data are never sent to third parties or external AI.
What kiko stores
Receipt data. When you import a receipt PDF, kiko reads it on your device and stores the extracted data locally: receipt dates, item names, item numbers, quantities, prices, warehouse names, and transaction totals.
Membership number. If you enter your Costco membership number, it is stored on your device.
Shopping list and Price Watch. Items you add are stored on your device.
Pinned items. Photos and notes you save in the Pinned section are stored on your device.
Item notes and ratings. Personal notes and ratings you add to items are stored on your device.
On-device storage
Your receipt data, purchase history, shopping lists, pinned items, and notes are never sent to any third party or external AI. Tap "Clear all data" in Settings to erase everything from your device and your iCloud. Uninstalling the app only removes the local copy; data already synced to your iCloud remains until you clear it or sign out of iCloud.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, kiko automatically syncs your data across your own Apple devices through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This is managed by Apple and stored in your iCloud; kiko cannot read or write it independently of your device. To turn it off, turn off iCloud Sync in kiko's Settings (this removes your kiko data from iCloud and keeps it on this device), disable iCloud for kiko in your device's iOS Settings, or sign out of iCloud. Sharing data with another person (Household) is a separate, opt-in feature.
Analytics and advertising
kiko contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking. Apple may share anonymous, aggregate App Store metrics with kiko (such as total downloads or crash counts) if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your device's iOS Settings; this is anonymized by Apple and never includes your receipts or personal data.
Subscriptions
kiko+ is an optional subscription managed by Apple. Purchases and billing are handled through your Apple ID. kiko does not collect or store your payment information.
Children
kiko is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.

Any use of third-party names or trademarks is for identification purposes only and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Personal use
kiko is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
Subscriptions
kiko+ auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by law.
Accuracy
kiko's price-adjustment calculations are based on data you import and are estimates only. Price adjustment eligibility is subject to Costco's policies, which may change. Always verify any claim with Costco directly.
Warranty disclaimer
kiko is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Use of the app is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, kiko and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
kiko may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
